Is IndianFirmData free?
Yes. Every workspace gets 100,000 fair-use credits a month, 10 team seats, the REST API, the MCP server and the dashboard. No card is needed.
What happens when the monthly credits run out?
Metered API calls return HTTP 402 until the allowance resets on the 1st of the month. Nothing is charged.
Does it cover every Indian company?
No. Coverage is growing daily from NSE, GLEIF, Wikidata and a sample of the MCA company master. The Data sources page shows live counts per source.
Where does the data come from?
NSE equity lists (main and SME boards), GLEIF LEI records (CC0), Wikidata (CC0) and a sample of the MCA company master from data.gov.in. Job boards, GDELT news and home-page technology scans are fetched on a live refresh.
Can I look up a company by CIN, LEI, ISIN or NSE symbol?
Yes. Call GET /api/v1/companies/enrich with cin, lei, isin, nse, domain or name. It costs 1 credit on a match and 0 if nothing matches.
Can I check a GSTIN?
Yes, for free: the format, state code, embedded PAN and checksum. Live GST registration status is not available yet.
Do you sell personal emails or phone numbers?
No. We hold only public business roles such as founder and CEO from CC0 Wikidata. We do not use LinkedIn.
Can AI agents use it?
Yes. The MCP server has 16 tools over remote HTTP at /api/mcp with your API key, or a local stdio proxy. The config is on the docs page.
How fresh is the data?
Every field shows when we last saw it and its freshness limit, and stale fields are flagged. NSE and GLEIF data refresh daily.
Can I watch companies for changes?
Yes. Watchers track field changes such as status, address and new directors, or new matches for a saved search, with signed webhooks and optional email alerts.
Do you have government tender data?
Not yet. Tender buyer data is coming soon.
How do I remove a person from your data?
Use the opt-out form. The name is hidden from all API and MCP responses at once.
